How to Choose Focus Vehicles for Market Intelligence Reports
Pick up to three focus vehicles, and each one gets its own page in the dealer's report.
Focus vehicles are the models a dealer cares about most. Pick up to three on the Focus Vehicles tab. Any report page built for that slot (see How to Add Focus Vehicle Pages to a Report) then shows that vehicle.

What Are Focus Vehicles?
The tab has three slots. Any report page built for a slot shows that vehicle compared with the dealer's competitors and the wider market, trim by trim. Pages for empty slots are left out of the PDF.
Onboarding asks for at least one focus vehicle when Market Intelligence is set up.
Note: Client users can view Market Intelligence and reorder competitors, but can't add or remove competitors or change focus vehicles.
How to Set a Focus Vehicle
- Pick the dealer, then open Market Intelligence.
- Click the Focus Vehicles tab.
- Click Choose on an empty slot, or Change on a filled one. Pick a Year (or leave Any year), a Make and a Model, then click Done.
- Repeat for the other slots. To empty a slot, click the X next to it.
- Click Save at the top of the tab. The same vehicle can't be in two slots.
Important: Changes don't apply until you click Save, and Save stays greyed out until you click Done.

How to Read the Focus Vehicles Tab
Each slot shows the dealer's numbers next to their competitors':
- Units: the dealer's units / all competitors' units combined.
- Price: how the dealer's median list price compares to competitors'.
- Days: the dealer's average days on lot / competitors' average.
The Report pages panel on the right lists the pages the report will include, one per filled slot.
Model Variants
Each model variant counts as its own vehicle. For example, the Ford F-150 does not include the F-150 Lightning. Pick the exact variant the dealer wants on the report.
Tip: Review focus vehicles each month before reports go out, so the pages match what the dealer is pushing.
How to Add Focus Vehicle Pages to a Report
- Make sure the dealer has a competitor set. Focus vehicle pages also need a vehicle in their slot.
- Open the dealer's report in the Report Builder and click Add Page, then Blank Page.
- Add widgets and choose a Market Intelligence data source:
- Focus Vehicle 1, 2 or 3, as Summary, Rooftops (the dealer vs. their competitors) or Trims.
- Whole Lot, By Body Style or New vs Used for pages about the dealer's whole lot. These don't depend on any focus vehicle.
- Make one page for each focus vehicle. To label the page with the vehicle's name, turn on Show source caption in a Table or Billboard widget's settings. The label then follows whatever vehicle is in that slot.
Competitors appear on Rooftops pages in the order set on the Competitors section.
Note: If the dealer has fewer than three focus vehicles, the empty pages are left out of the PDF automatically.
