Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for BuyerBridge Users

New security measures are designed to give you peace of mind.

How 2FA Will Help Your Business:

1. Enhanced Account Security: 2FA adds an extra layer of security, making it more difficult for attackers to gain unauthorized access to user accounts, even if they have obtained passwords through phishing or data breaches.
2. Reduced Risk of Credential-Based Attacks: With 2FA, the risk of credential-based attacks, such as brute force or dictionary attacks, is reduced since the attacker would also need access to the second factor (e.g., a code sent to a mobile device).
3. Phishing Resistance: Some forms of 2FA, particularly those using hardware tokens or biometric verification, can be more resistant to phishing attacks.

How to Setup 2FA in BuyerBridge

Step 1

• Go to app.buyerbridge.io/login
• Log in using yourBuyerBridge credentials
• In the upper right corner click on your user profile and navigate to 'Settings.'
• In your user settings, locate the 2FA (Two Factor Authentication) and select 'Enable.'

Step 2

• To continue the enabling process, follow these next three steps:
  1. Get the App

     Download and install the Google Authenticator App for your phone or tablet.

  Apple Users 

• 1. Scan the Barcode
     Open the Google authentication app and tap the "+" icon in the top-right of the app. Scan the QR code using your phone's camera.
  2. Enter Verification Code
     Once the barcode above is scanned, enter the 6-digital verification code generated by the app.

Step 3

• Once the steps are complete, your user settings will confirm 2FA is now Enabled.

How to Login Once 2FA is Enabled in BuyerBridge

Step 1

• Go to app.buyerbridge.io/login
• Log in using your BuyerBridge credentials

Step 2

• Once your login credentials are entered, open the Google Authentication App on your phone or tablet.
• In the Google Authentication App, locate the six-digit code for the BuyerBridge website, copy that code to the BuyerBridge platform, and select 'Submit.'
