There have been a number of issues that have been brought to our team's attention regarding manually posting vehicle inventory on Marketplace.
Example: Facebook is not allowing Canadian agencies who are trying to post listings for a Canadian Dealer to post using the dealership's Facebook Page - rather, the listing is being posted using the name associated with the "poster's" personal Facebook account while using the tool.
If you're receiving an error when trying to add, update, or remove vehicle listings while using our Marketplace Tool in the dashboard, it's likely due to limitations Facebook has put into place.
Here are some options for troubleshooting issues relating to Marketplace...
Posting Vehicles Without The "Manage Inventory" Tab
If you're attempting to list vehicles for a dealership on Facebook Marketplace and your dealership's Facebook Page does not have a "Manage Inventory" Tab:
- Go to Facebook.com and navigate to your dealer's Facebook Business Page.
- At the top of your dealer's Facebook Page, toggle from Home to the "Vehicles" Tab > click + Create New Listing. (The Facebook Listing Form will display.)
- If you get to this step and do not see "Create New Listing" as an option, click here and follow along with the steps.
- If you get to this step and do not see the "Vehicles" tab AT ALL, click here.
- Next, pull our Marketplace Management Tool up side by side with the Facebook Listing Form. (Open the Marketplace Management Tool inside of the BuyerBridge platform and click on the green "Add" section to launch your "Add" Tasks.)
- Use the Marketplace Management Tool to copy & paste information from the Posting Helper to the Facebook Form, and get your clients' vehicles listed!
How To Display The "Vehicles" Tab If It Is Not Displayed
We've heard that some users are coming across the issue where they do not see the "Vehicles" Tab AT ALL! If this is the case for you:
- Go to Facebook.com and locate your dealer clients' Facebook Page.
- From the navigation menu of your dealer's Facebook Page, select Settings > Page Info.
- Under "Categories," add "Car Dealership" as a category.
- Refresh your browser and the "Vehicles" tab should display!

Posting Vehicles Without "Create New Listing" Link on Vehicles Tab
For users who do not see "Create New Listing" as an option on the Vehicles tab:
- Open a new tab and navigate to your dealers' Facebook Marketplace page by going to: Facebook.com/marketplace/create/vehicle.
- You can also locate the above page by going to Facebook.com/marketplace > click + Create new listing > Vehicle for Sale.
- You can also locate the above page by going to Facebook.com/marketplace > click + Create new listing > Vehicle for Sale.
- If you see a personal Facebook account is selected as who is "Listing to Marketplace," click on the name to drop down the menu > select the dealer's name for which you are posting.
- Once you have switched the Facebook Business Page account to your dealer being who is "Listing to Marketplace,"
- Next, pull our Marketplace Management Tool up side by side with the Facebook Listing Form. (Open the Marketplace Management Tool inside of the BuyerBridge platform and click on the green "Add" section of the Task bar.)
- Use the Marketplace Management Tool to copy & paste information from the Posting Helper to the Facebook Form, and get your clients' vehicles listed!
- Finally, confirm that your vehicle listing says it was posted as the dealership.
