Effortless Omnichannel Onboarding for New Clients: A Complete Guide to Quick Setup
Onboarding new clients is a crucial first step in setting them up for success within the BuyerBridge platform. This guide walks you through the entire process, from initial setup to profile integration and ad campaign activation, so you can deliver a seamless experience and help clients achieve their marketing goals faster.
Step 1: Business Account Setup [Channel-Specific]
Your organization can onboard clients to any of the platforms available in BuyerBridge including Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, TikTok, and Google.
Creating Assets on Each Social Channel
To begin the Account Setup you must complete the Channel Onboarding via the platform.
A step-by-step guide for channel-specific account creation:
⬇️Important: This must be completed before moving forward in the onboarding process
- Facebook: No steps are required outside of the onboarding form within BuyerBridge
- Snapchat: How To Create and Connect Assets for Snapchat Onboarding
- Pinterest: Setting Up The Pinterest Business Center For Your Organization + Clients
- TikTok: How To Create and Connect Assets for TikTok Onboarding
- Google: How Clients Can Change Their Preferred Inventory Provider for Google Vehicle Listings
Once you have completed the steps documented in the above guide(s), you can enroll your client in their new channel(s) from the BuyerBridge platform.
First, you will need to complete “Omnichannel Authentication” for any new channel(s).
(BuyerBridge only requires that your organization sets up the Connection User 1x/channel)
To do this, you will need to:
- Log in to an existing account within the channel
- Or create a new account if one does not exist. Follow along with the above steps under the Creating Asset on Each Social Channel section of this article to do so
What is Omnichannel Authentication?
When your organization onboards a new channel for a client (for the FIRST TIME only!) they will be required to “Authenticate And Setup” a Connection User.
Setting up a new Connection User is necessary to deploy playbooks, retrieve metrics, and complete other tasks for dealers.
To learn more about this process, read: [Omnichannel Onboarding] Omnichannel Authentication: Connection User.
Step 2: BuyerBridge Account Setup (New Clients)
After you have completed the Omnichannel Authentication process, return to the BuyerBridge Dashboard.
Once inside the BuyerBridge dashboard, locate the left-hand navigation menu and select Onboarding --> Add Account.
This will initiate Onboarding for a new client.
Next, select the associated business from the drop-down menu or enter the business details manually if you are unable to find the business you are looking for.
Now select the platform to onboard by clicking Setup and following the instructions.
For this tutorial example, we will Onboard Meta (Facebook and Instagram channels).
After selecting Setup, it’s time to choose the product package that you would like to add.
Next, Connect a Facebook Page or Request Access to a New Page. You will need page access to continue this portion of the onboarding process.
If you have access to the client's page, use the dropdown menu to select their account and then click 'Continue."
Now you can connect New or Existing Business Manager Assets including Ad Account, Facebook Pixel, Offline Event Set, and Vehicle Catalog. If you are connecting existing assets, select the account, pixel, and event set from the dropdown menu.
The next step in the onboarding process is the Ad Account Configuration.
- Add a payment method
- Accept Facebook's custom audience 'Terms of Service'
- Accept lead's 'Terms of Service' for the business page
⌛If you need more time setting up these steps, you can skip this step and return to it later.
Now you have reached the portion of onboarding where you can configure Call Tracking Setup (Optional). Select the Facebook Ads phone number and insert the main phone number for lead phone calls.
Click 'Continue.'
Next, we will set up the vehicle inventory feed that will be connected to BuyerBridge. Select 'Website Inventory,' which downloads inventory from a website scraping, or select 'Feed Inventory,' which will pull inventory from a data file such as XLM or CSV.
If you will be onboarding with a data feed, use this link to jump to that tutorial section.
🏆Note: Best Practice is to choose Feed Inventory
Website Inventory Setup Instructions
Select the 'Use Website Inventory,' option and then click 'Continue.'
Next, add your dealer's website and the BuyerBridge automagick scraper will download the data directly from the website regularly.
Once the feed has successfully loaded, it is important to carefully verify the data (new and used vehicle inventory) that is being displayed.
If you have confirmed that the values displayed are correct, select "I confirm that the attributes and pricing above are accurate, and agree to the BuyerBridge terms and conditions around pricing."
Once you have completed the Website Inventory steps, click this link to jump to the Lead Destination Setup.Data Feed Inventory Setup Instructions
Select the 'Use Feed Inventory,' option and then click 'Continue.'
Next, select your provider from the dropdown menu. If you do not see your provider, follow the 'click here if you don't see your provider,' link.
It can take some time for us to process everything so it's usable for advertising so feel free to continue with the process but keep in mind that processing must be completed to finish onboarding.
Once the inventory feed configuration is successful, you will see the status change to 'Processed' and will begin displaying vehicle data. Click 'Continue' to move to the next step, Lead Destinations.
🎉 Congratulations! Your product feed is connecting to the BuyerBridge platform.
Lead Destination Setup
Lead destinations determine where BuyerBridge should send leads when received through various sources like Facebook, Instagram, chatbots, and API setups (e.g. Zapier, etc.).
To set up your lead destination, click 'Add Lead Destination.'
Next, a popup window asks you to select a Destination Type - choose from ADF XML, Plain Text, or Webhook files.
Then click 'Continue.'
Now that your lead destination has been set up, let's move on to the Event Flow setup.
Event Flow Setup
To enable the BuyerBridge pixel which provides the ability to track events, enable call tracking, and build retargeting audience(s), you’ll need to work with your client’s website provider to install the code below on their website.
First, copy, download, or email instructions with the Event Flow Code.
Next, if you know your site provider, select them from the dropdown menu and follow the instructions. Otherwise, select "Click here if you don't see your provider."
After selecting your site provider there will be three steps to get the event flow script installed on your website.
There are:
- Get written approval from an authorized contact at [Insert Dealership] that authorizes [Insert Site Provider] to install this script.
👍 Good news, we're going to give you an easy template to use. - Send a copy of the approval along with the script directly to [Insert Site Provider] and request that they shall them on [Insert www.website.com]
- Once [Insert Site Provider] has successfully installed the event flow the events will start flowing into BuyerBridge reporting.
Select 'Continue' to move to the final steps of the onboarding process.
Finalizing Onboarding
Once you have completed the above steps you can finalize onboarding! However, if there are items that are preventing you from completing, we will give you a list of items that need attention.
If all dependencies are fulfilled, you may complete the process by selecting 'Complete Onboarding.'
Congratulations! We are so happy to have you here!
